Kerala is the most southern and the most free and easy-going state of India! For many centuries this area attracted the saylors nd merchants from all over the world. Even in the new period of history the Portuguese, the Dutch and the British were very much interested in this coast of spices: the edible gold! Right now, Kerala is the paradise for peope who love nature-trekkings, bird and animals watching and of course those who are interested in nathuropaty as the most famous ancient medical science of Ayurveda origins from Kerala. There are more trips available, but at least in the model trip presented here you will learn about the history and do sightseeings in the city, the tea and spices plantations will be visited, some great beaches will give you the chance of a good relaxation, and one day of the trip will be spent in a boat-house!We offer you a 10-days trip which begins in Kochi and ends in Marari.
Day 1. Arrial to Kochi. Visit to the Dutch palace, the Jewish quarters and the synagogue of Mattancherry. Stay in an hotel.
Day 2. Visit to the St. Franciscus church and to the coast, to see the famous Chinese fishing nets. In the evening a dance performance of Kathakali will be a beautiful surprise for you.
Day 3, Moving to Munnar and check-in in the hotel. Climbing up the mountain and enjoying the view, then a walk.
Day 4. Trip to the Devikulam lake - a place of a serene nature and a fishing paradise. A spectacular view to the tallest peak of the South India - Anaimudi, many wild animals.
Day 5-6. Moving to Periyar, a huge nature park with many possibilities of bird and animall watching. Visit to the tea, coffie and rubber-tree plantations.
Day 7. Moving to Kumarakom and stay in a boat-house. A cruise along the rice fields, spice plantaions and pictoresque villages. On this day, all the meals will be served on board,
Day 8-9. Moving to Marari and say in a resort where ayurvedic massage and other procedures can be ordered. A relax time on the beach, walking and observing the fishermen.
Day 10. Departure from Marari. Your stay can be prolonged for the ayurveda treatments or a beach holiday.
We work in English, French, Dutch and Russian. The guide will be with you every day and all the questions can be asked about the trip and the nature, culture and habits of the local population. The food is very fresh, including the fish just out of the sea.
The price includes the work of the guide, transfer on all days, the dance performance in Kochi, hotel with a breakfast on all days and 3-meals menu on the house-boat.
Doesn't include any entry tickets, food besides the mentioned above, camera tickets and any other costs such as your flight and visa.
