Private Jeep tour Countryside - Kampong Kleang

Service description:

Do not forget to set your alarm: Pick-up time is at 8.30 AM at your hotel.
We leave Siem Reap town by a vintage American Jeep and set out to the beautiful countryside where we will cycle along the red soil roads through the villages. It is going to be a nice and peaceful ride which is flat all throughout. We will stop by the local fish market on the way where you can observe traditional Khmer fish trade, a daily event.

After cycling, we take a small break for some cool refreshment before continuing on to the next part of the trip.
We then resume our journey with the visit of one of the most impressive floating villages in Cambodia – Kompong Khleang. When we arrive at the village, we will board a boat and head out in exploration of the floating village.

At lunch time, we will take you to a stilt house in the village to share a typical Khmer lunch with very friendly locals. Afterwards, we get back on the boat and sail towards an island where a pagoda is located. We always spend a great time there. You can walk by the monk school and watch the monks go about their day-to-day routines.

Next, we proceed to the Vietnamese floating village. This village is unlike the rest of Kompong Khleang. The Vietnamese Village is not composed of stilt houses. The houses there are built on floating objects that keeps them afloat on the Tonlé Sap. The village moves along the river and sometimes up to the lake depending on the season. They have a floating school, a hospital, local shops, and even a hair dresser! A spectacular sight indeed.
The above program may be altered or rearranged by the tour leader based on the best option subject to the weather, our guests’ ability to ride a bicycle, or other factors that require adjustment in the itinerary. More information can be found in our FAQ section.

At the end of the day, we return to the jeep and start driving back to Siem Reap passing through a different route for you to have of glimpse of other villages. We will be stopping by one of them and there you can have the chance to interact with friendly villagers.
We usually arrive back to town around 5 PM which may vary depending on your interest and energy (time spent with the locals, speed on the bicycle, etc.).
